Big Idea
Because of Jesus, we are new creations and are called to help others be reconciled to God.

Read Together

2 Corinthians 5:17-20
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!... Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us."

Family Discussion

Life is not always easy. We all experience disappointments, struggles, and moments when we wish things were different. Paul compares our earthly bodies to temporary tents. A tent is useful, but it is not a permanent home. As Christians, we look forward to the day when we will be with Jesus forever.

While we wait, God has given us an important purpose. Through Jesus, we have been reconciled to God. Reconciliation means a broken relationship has been restored. Because God restored our relationship with Him, He now invites us to help others know Him too.

When we trust Christ, we become a new creation. God doesn't simply improve our old life—He gives us a new identity. We are part of God's family, and we represent Him wherever we go.

Paul calls believers "ambassadors for Christ." An ambassador represents a king or a country in another place. As Christians, we represent King Jesus through our words, actions, kindness, and love for others.

God has placed people in our lives who need to know His love. We can point them to Jesus by building genuine relationships, living out God's Word, and sharing the hope we have in Christ.

Family Prayer

Father, thank You for making us new creations through Jesus. Help us remember that this world is not our permanent home and that You have given us a purpose while we are here. Teach us to be faithful ambassadors who represent You well. Open our eyes to people who need Your love and help us share the message of reconciliation with kindness and courage. In Jesus' name, Amen.
