CONNECTIONS

JULY 13,2025

WE EXIST TO SEE ALL PEOPLE FIND HOPE, HEALING AND WHOLENESS THROUGH JESUS.

Reminder of what God did

Kim Mommessin completed the 2024-25 evaluation of the Backpack Ministry for the United Methodist Foundation. The Foundation had given a $5,000  grant and the evaluation form was requested to see how the money was spent.

When she wrote for the grant, she explained that the church had gone through a split, so the concern was that we would have less financial and volunteer help.

What God did in that ministry was to take our concern/fear and gave instead more money and volunteer help that the ministry has ever had. Not only to provide weekend food for 49 children at Madison but added 27 children every other weekend at Criss Elementary.

What we feared would be scarcity, God turned into abundance.

That’s the kind of God we have.  So other ministry areas—dream big cause we have a Mighty God!
