ISSUE 30, VOLUME 4CONNECTIONSJULY 13,2025WE EXIST TO SEE ALL PEOPLE FIND HOPE, HEALING AND WHOLENESS THROUGH JESUS. Reminder of what God didKim Mommessin completed the 2024-25 evaluation of the Backpack Ministry for the United Methodist Foundation. The Foundation had given a $5,000 grant and the evaluation form was requested to see how the money was spent. When she wrote for the grant, she explained that the church had gone through a split, so the concern was that we would have less financial and volunteer help. What God did in that ministry was to take our concern/fear and gave instead more money and volunteer help that the ministry has ever had. Not only to provide weekend food for 49 children at Madison but added 27 children every other weekend at Criss Elementary. What we feared would be scarcity, God turned into abundance. That’s the kind of God we have. So other ministry areas—dream big cause we have a Mighty God!Administrative CouncilMembers of Administrative Council will meet this month on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 7:00PM in the Fellowship Hall.Trustees and Finance Committees meet prior at 6:00PM *Trustees in Chapel*Finance in Parlor. This meeting will determine feasibility for a Preschool in fall 2026.Pastor Helen's Weekly ScriptureAmos 7:7-17Luke 10:25-37THIS WEEK @ STOUTSunday, July 13 8:45AM Contemporary Worship 9:45AM Sunday School 10:45AM Traditional Worship Monday, July 147:00PM Troop 12 7:00PM Girl Scouts Tuesday, July 1510:30AM Lydia/Rachel Circle Wednesday, July 16 10:00 am Bible Study in Parlor 4:00 pm PreSchool Committee Expressions of Sympathy extend to the families of Les Rothwell & Carol Gardner.
