Now, that may sound exciting to some of you… and maybe a little overwhelming to others. But if you enjoy shopping, this will be right up your alley. Each month we’ll share suggestions for items to look for. For example, January’s focus is hats, gloves, and scarves. A collection container will be available in the Gathering Space, and at the end of each month the donated items will be placed into storage. Then in November, we’ll come together for our 2nd Shoebox Packing Party. Last year our goal was 50 shoeboxes. This year, we’re doubling that goal to 100! Watch for updates in Connections and keep the “Year-Round Shoebox Shopping” insert from the bulletin handy for reference. Extra copies will be available at the Welcome Desk. Thank you for helping us share Christ’s love with children around the world. MISSIONS The annual Shrove Tuesday (Fat Tuesday) pancake supper will be held on February 17 in FLC from 4:30-6:30. Mark your calendar! The mission committee is sponsoring an Easter activity on the afternoon of Palm Sunday. We are now collecting small plastic Easter eggs and bags of bite sized individually wrapped candy. There is a large container in the Gathering Space for your donations! Thank you. Vacation Bible School is back! Check your Connections for more information. VALENTINE MINISTRY! It feels like Christmas was just yesterday, but Valentine’s Day is already right around the corner! That means it’s time once again for our Valentine Bag Ministry. This is a special opportunity for us to shower love on those in our church family who are unable to be with us regularly. We invite you to help us fill Valentine bags with cards and small gifts as a reminder that they are remembered and cherished. Containers will be available in the Gathering Space beginning January 25th. Please help us fill them — and, if you’re able, help deliver the bags starting February 8th.
