Thanks to all the volunteers and to everyone who ate pancakes on Shrove Tuesday!  Stout Mission Team made $824.55 which will all go towards mission work in our community!

Lenten Events 


Lenten Bible Study 
Our Lenten Bible Study will be with the book Forgiveness written by Adam Hamilton. He uses as a sub-title “Finding Peace Through Letting Go”. This   discussion will ONLY BE HELD on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm   beginning February 25th . 

Lenten Lunches 
The Parkersburg Urban Lenten Lunches will be held again this year. We will be the site for the lunches beginning March 18th . On the 18th our Women of Faith will coordinate that luncheon. Gathering begins at 11:30 with lunch at noon in The Family Life Center. Everyone is invited to come out and share lunch. The speaker will be our own Tom Woods, a certified lay speaker. 

The speaker for the lunch on March 25th is Larry Johnson from Christ United Methodist Church. Our District Superintendent, Amy Shanholtzer will be our speaker during Holy Week, on April 1st . 

With One Voice Sunday 
It was agreed at our Church Council meeting to begin a “With One Voice” service on 5th Sundays. The first of these services will be held on March 29th , Palm Sunday, at 10:45 am. The purpose of the one service is to allow folks from both services to come together. 


 

 "Wild Game Tasting" February 28, 6:00PM 
Corner of Park Ave and 19th Street. 

No Cost, free-will contributions to our Food Pantry are appreciated. 

The meu is ever-evolving so there will probably be more meats offered than hat re listed below, but at the moment, we know we will be serving fish, bear, venison, pheasant, alligator and bison. 

Do you have wild game/fish in your freezer? Want to donate some of it? please call 304-483-2734

The meats will be prepared by an excellent wild game chef and will be served in a variety of ways. Come enjoy! Sample them all until satisfied!  




*Plans for children's Easter event have been postponed until next Easter season.
