Week 1: Pursuing the Shepherd (Abundant Life Begins with Jesus)Day 3: Trusting the Shepherd’s PathScripture: Psalm 23:1-3 NLT "The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name."Observation and Reflection: The Hebrew word for "shepherd" (ra‘ah) encompasses care, guidance, and protection. As the Shepherd, God’s leadership leads to rest and renewal. The "right paths" (ma‘gal) are not only morally upright but also lead us into His purposes. Trusting these paths can be challenging, especially when they lead through valleys of uncertainty. Reflect on times when God led you to peace despite difficulties.Picture a blindfolded person guided through a maze by a trusted friend. Though they can’t see, they follow the voice of the guide, knowing they won’t be led astray.Missionary Hudson Taylor trusted God’s guidance as he faced financial and personal challenges in China. His faith in God’s provision and paths inspired generations of believers.Application and Action: Write down an area where you struggle to trust God’s guidance. Pray for faith to surrender it to Him. Reflect on this quote by Charles Spurgeon: "God is too good to be unkind and He is too wise to be mistaken. When we cannot trace His hand, we must trust His heart."Prayer: Lord, You are my Shepherd, and I lack nothing. Help me to trust Your paths, even when they are difficult to understand. Lead me to places of renewal and peace, and may my life bring honor to Your name. Amen.=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=Overflowing Grace - A 21-day prayer and fasting devotional guide to live in God's abundanceWeek 1: Pursuing the Shepherd (Abundant Life Begins with Jesus)Key Focus: Understanding Jesus as our source of life, our guide, and our provider.Daily Topics: Day 1: The Source of Life (John 10:10)Day 2: Hearing His Voice (John 10:27)Day 3: Trusting the Shepherd’s Path (Psalm 23:1-3)Day 4: Protection from the Thief (Ephesians 6:10-11)Day 5: The Shepherd’s Provision (Philippians 4:19)Day 6: Rest for the Soul (Matthew 11:28-30)Week 2: Cultivating the Heart (Living in God’s Abundance)Key Focus: Developing a heart that aligns with God’s abundance and character.Daily Topics: Day 7: Abiding in Christ (John 15:4-5)Day 8: A Heart of Worship (Psalm 100:1-5)Day 9: Surrendering All (Romans 12:1)Day 10: Overflowing with Joy (Nehemiah 8:10)Day 11: Walking in Faith (Hebrews 11:1)Day 12: Renewing the Mind (Romans 12:2)Week 3: Advancing His Kingdom (Sharing the Abundant Life)Key Focus: Living out and sharing the abundant life with others.Daily Topics: Day 13: The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20)Day 14: Compassion for Others (Matthew 9:36)Day 15: Bold Faith (Hebrews 11:6)Day 16: Declaring His Goodness (Psalm 34:8)Day 17: Living with Purpose (Jeremiah 29:11)Day 18: Eternal Perspective (Colossians 3:1-2)Day 19: Generosity That Reflects God (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)Day 20: Compassion in Action (James 1:27)Day 21: Living the Abundant Life (John 10:10)If you'd like a physical version, click here for a downloadable and printable copy of the full 21-day devotional. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
