Day 11: Walking in Faith
Scripture: Hebrews 11:1 (NLT):
"Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see." Observation and Reflection: Faith is not wishful thinking but a confident assurance in God’s promises. The Greek word for "faith" (
pistis) denotes trust and reliance on God’s character and His Word. Reflect on the areas where you’ve struggled to trust God fully. How has He proven faithful in the past?
Faith is like planting a seed in the ground. You don’t see the growth immediately, but you trust that it will sprout in due time because of the life within it.
Abraham trusted God’s promise of a son, even when it seemed impossible. His faith became a foundation for generations to come.
Application and Action: Identify an area in your life where you need to exercise faith. Write down a promise from Scripture that you can cling to. Reflect on this quote by Martin Luther: "Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase."
Prayer: Lord, help me to trust in You fully and to walk by faith, not by sight. Strengthen my heart to rely on Your promises and to see beyond what is visible. Amen.
